During our Christmas trip to Virginia and South Carolina; we stayed in a beautiful farm/hunting cabin in the middle a farm. After chasing deer on the golf cart (to shoot with the camera ~ not the rifle!); we ended up on the back side of the cabin just as the sun was setting. The cabin is actually a beautiful, modern home but with the lighting just right in this moment it looks ancient and haunted (to me); what do you think?

Hauntingly Beautiful
perfect description! that’s how i felt standing there looking across the water! Happy Saturday
Ooooooooooo how beautiful. What an awesome retreat!
It was definitely that – a wonderfully awesome retreat! A great place to be outside and one with nature!
yes, it certainly does look like it could be haunted!! What a great photo!
It does look rather creepy. I wonder if it’s anywhere near me.
I completely forgot you were in SC! I should have looked you up ~ no worries, next time, I definitely will ~ or I’ll come visit you at that amazing bookstore you frequent
We were in Summterville ~ I think I’m saying that correctly ???
What a lovely photo it feels rather lonely.
Definitely looks haunted!!! It is the woods I think!
that is a great shot, i love the sun peeking through the trees. Another picture that would have been fun would have been of you chasing the deer on the golf cart, LOL
Book Savvy Babe

Yes, spooky!
Here’s
my Saturday Snapshot. I hope you will stop by! And Happy New Year!
Looks like a really beautiful place to have a break.
I had to look twice before I realized there was a cabin back there. Awesome photo.
It feels very hushed and mysterious. Great photo.
Oh, I like that!!
It definitely gives it a creepy, but beautiful, look.
It does look eerily beautiful. It would make a great cover for a mystery.
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
Very scary looking, but beautiful! Would make a great book cover!

oooooo, wonderful idea! I never thought of that!
I love the reflection of the trees in the water — looks very swampish. Here’s Mine
It’s so ironic how everything in that picture is the antithesis of what IS actually there! A clear pond, lush, woodsy environment and a modern-day cabin….strange how just the lighting can change the whole perspective!
The softness of the image definitely pushes all my spooky buttons! Haunting, but in a good way …
Thank you so much! And coming from you and the pictures I saw on your blog ~ that’s a definite compliment!
It looks a little haunted and fairy tale-ish, but it’s very beautiful with the sun shining through the trees, and the reflections in the water.
Wow…gorgeous. Love the reflection.
